Fire fighters finally have a huge blaze at an oil supply company in Williston, North Dakota under control.
The fire at Red River Supply started around midnight on Monday, sending huge fireballs high into the sky. Craig Copenan said he saw multiple explosions.
“After about 5 minutes you’d hear another, just, boom. And phew, boom, and phew! Just going crazy. And about a half hour in, stuff was just flying through the air.”
Red River Supply sells drilling fluids and other chemicals to the oil industry. State and federal investigators are still trying to figure out what caused the fire.
The North Dakota Health Department is monitoring air quality and says there aren’t any public health risks. But they’re telling people with respiratory conditions to stay inside.
